labs

The Centre for Digital Arts provides equipment and technological services for Fine Arts students and faculty members.

Our media labs provide access to multimedia technologies in a user-friendly environment. Fine Arts staff and faculty members contribute to the support of academic programs based on digital technology, as well as to programs that combine digital technologies with traditional media and disciplines. “Smart” classrooms improve the quality of the learning experience.

Open computer labs are available to allow students to complete their homework assignments, while faculty and graduate edit suites permit work on research projects in a more private setting. The video and sound facilities, CDA equipment depot and print services further facilitate students’ potential to combine technical expertise with active art practices.

**Note: You must have an active CDA user account to access these facilities. Details are here.

***You do not need to pay for a CDA account in order to borrow equipment from the CDA equipment depot.

Email Consolidation Project for faculty and staff

email-iconFine Arts faculty and staff are encouraged to migrate their current mail system to Concordia's new Exchange email system. Have a read on this page http://cda.concordia.ca/email-migration and contact CDA support by using the Support link at top of this page if you have trouble. Everyone gets 2GB of space on the server. If you have larger mailboxes, you'll need to keep those emails locally on your computer.
